My partner and I recently had 2 nights on this boat. The whole trip was just exceptional. The boat is beautiful, with gorgeous rooms, enthusiastic staff, and a sumptuous dining room. Just so relaxing, and so well-organised. Canoeing, swimming, cycling, walking, and of course eating, with a cocktail in hand, added to those stunning views, makes for an unforgettable experience. We just so loved it, I could go back in a flash. Thanks to Andrej and staff…. Grant, Melbourne

We can not imagine that there is a better boat to book to experience the Halong Bay! Everything was excellent! The interior of the boat is very well-kept and new. All activities you can do on board are good organized and beautiful for young and old people. But the very obliging stuff was the best at the excursion. So if you are or you want to go to Halong Bay you have to go by the AuCo!

Friends of ours were upgraded to the AuCo cruise in April, shortly after it was launched. They raved about the whole experience and as a result we booked via our hotel. As we asked for the AuCo cruise we probably are the only people to have paid the going rate, as all the comments on Trip Advisor suggest that most people have been upgraded from Bhaya cruises. No matter, because the experience was well worth the cost. Everything was excellent, from the food, service, rooms through to the (optional but recommended) day excursions). Andrej, the Cruise Manager, has chosen and trained his staff well, and the AuCo kitchen produced consistently excellent food throughout the cruise. The food in Vietnam is generally very good, but on the cruise the bar was raised another notch or two! About the only thing I could complain about is the 4 hour trip from Hanoi at 50km per hour over very poor roads, but I don’t think there is much AuCo can do about where Halong Bay is or the quality of Vietnamese roads!!! In our opinion, this cruise is the first thing everyone should slot into their Vietnamese trip. Allow for the 3 days in your schedule. A one day 4 hour drive each way and 4 hours on the bay trip does not do Halong Bay any justice and won’t give you the extended feel for the place that it deserves, and the quality of the AuCo experience that you deserve!

ow! Au Co is truely a 5 star experience, the cruise exceeded our expectations. The 3 day itinerary is perfect, you could do as little or as much as you want. What made the experience memorable was the crew onboard. You couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces, they have a geniune passion for their jobs and enjoyed looking after people. As soon as you step onboard everything was taken care of and nothing was too much trouble. I have to mention the food, absolutely mouth watering! If you are going to Halong Bay, Au Co is the only way to experience this gorgeous World Heritage Site.

We were surprised to learn when we arrived in Halong Bay, that we had been upgraded from the Bhaya Classic to the Au Co. Wow!!! We would have enjoyed Bhaya but this was a huge blessing! We took the 3d/2n cruise. The ship is outstanding with a great crew, wonderful room and incredible food! In fact, the food was the best part. My family and I are all vegetarian and my wife and daughter are vegan. We thought this might be a problem, so we brought plenty of our own food. It never got used. The chef instantly adjusted and catered wonderful special dishes, just for us. Every meal was a 5 course delight! There was plenty to do and see on board, including excursions for kayaking, biking, caving, etc. Our biggest complaint is that it was only 3 days….when we finished, we were wishing it were longer! Halong Bay definitely should be at the top of any traqveler’s bucket list- and Au-Co is the best way to go!
