Backed by 25 years experience hosting international guests on the tranquil waters of Halong Bay, Indochina Sails has set a new standard for luxury cruising. The first company to offer overnight cruises on the bay, Indochina Sails is now widely known as the number one choice for discerning travellers, operating a fleet of four newly built wooden junks designed in time-honored traditional style, with contemporary and luxurious cabins and facilities.
All of Indochina Sails’ boats are built to the highest standards and designed to incorporate traditional style and modern facilities. They are built entirely of aged wood, providing a rich and warn ambience. Cabins feature the beautiful and durable “Huong timber”, which is very good for the health. Each boat has luxury cabins on the second floor and senior cabins on the first floor, all with well-appointed amenities including luxurious bed linen, in-house telephone, and separate bathroomswith a massage shower, a mini fridge, air-conditioning, and wardrobe.
With the aim of serving tourists better, Indochina Sails was set up as an independent branch to operate a fleet of luxury cruise vessels. It has introduced four boats: One Indochina Sails 14 cabins, Two Indochina Sails with 15 cabins and the biggest one is 23 cabins. The cabin categories are: Superior, Deluxe, Suite, President Suite with Double and Twin beds available.

DAY 1: HANOI – HALONG BAY – SUNG SOT CAVE (-/L/D)
7:30 – 8:00 AM: The driver will come to your hotel in the Old Quarter and picks you up for the cruise. The driving from the center of Hanoi to Halong takes nearly 4 hours.
12.15 PM: Boarding our boat at Tuan Chau Port – enjoy welcome drink, receive cruise briefing and safety instructions.
13.15 – 14.00 PM: Passengers enjoy the deluxe Vietnamese Set Menu Lunch.
Massage service is available after lunch and throughout the cruise. Please book in advance with your Cruise Manager. Drink vouchers are given out from 15.00 to 18.00.
14.00 – 16.00 PM: Cruise through Halong Bay, passing the most beautiful and quiet areas including Incense Burner, Dog Stone Islet, Fighting Cock, Finger Islet.
16.00 PM: Arrive at Surprising cave – one of the most spectacular and largest grottoes of Ha Long Bay. The mouth of the grotto is reached by ascending about a hundred stone steps.
17.30 PM: Depart and sail for about 30 minutes to anchor overnight.
18.30 – 19.00 PM: Attend the Fruit and Vegetable carving lesson led by our Head Chef. During the lesson, the chef will conduct Fruit and Vegetable carving, showing the guests how we decorate and make some traditional Vietnamese food.
19.30 PM: Dinner is served.
20.45 PM: Evening activities. Board games like cards or Parcheesi are available, as well as massage service (massage service is available throughout the cruise). Also, everyone can try their luck at squid fishing on the boat with help from the crew.
21.00 – 23.00 PM: Happy Hour! Buy one drink – get one free (wine by the bottle excluded).
23.00 PM: End of Program for Day 1.
DAY 2: HALONG BAY – TITOP ISLAND – HANOI (B/L/-)
06.30 AM: Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries served in the dining room.
06.45 AM: Enjoy Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck (lasting for about 30 minutes).
07.15 AM: Guests who choose kayaking through Luon cave area will be ready from 07.15 am at receptionist desk in the first floor. The kayaking fee is $10.00 per person (unless pre-booked). Kayakers will depart from the boat in two-seater, self-rowed kayaks, kayaking through the boat and head to the cave. A kayaking tour guide will lead the way.
07.45 – 9.00 AM: Guests are transferred by tender to the Titov Island. About one hour is spent on the island, allowing time to climb to the peak for a breathtaking 360 degree view of the Bay (there is also an expansive viewing deck half way up). After the climb, there is time left to relax on the beach and have a swim.
09.00 AM: Upon returning to the boat, guests will have 30 minutes to freshen up and finish packing. Please collect all of your belongings from the cabins and leave heavy
luggage outside the cabins (staff will transfer directly to the pier).
09.30 AM: Enjoy a full breakfast in the dining room. Bills are settled after breakfast. Relax on the sundeck or in the dining room enjoying the bay scenery as we
approach the pier.
11.00 AM: Arrive at Tuan Chau port, relax inside the pier building while waiting for return transportation.

DAY 2: HALONG BAY – LUON CAVE – CUA VAN FISHING VILLAGE – PEARL FARM VILLAGE (B/L/D)

06.45 AM: Enjoy Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck (lasting for about 30 minutes).
07.45 AM: Enjoy Breakfast served in the dining room.

08.45 – 10.15 AM: Guests are transferred to the Indochina Sails Day Boat, a spacious and comfortable wooden junk with lounge, dining room and sundeck. Daytime activities includecruising to less trafficked areas of the Bay, visiting Luon cave – guests can findgolden hair monkeys here.
10.30 AM: Explore Cua Van Floating Village. This is one of the largest fishing villages on the Bay. Guests can choose between kayaking through the village or visiting on small bamboo boats (sampans) rowed by villagers. Kayakers will depart from the boat in two-seater, self-rowed kayaks, kayaking through the village and back to the boat. A kayaking tour guide will lead the way.
12.30 PM: Lunch is served on board mid-day.
14.30 PM: After lunch, guests will pay a visit to Pearl Farm in the afternoon.
15.30 PM: Return by tender to the Indochina Sails boat. Rejoin the cruise and relax onboard as we sail to the overnight anchorage.
19.30 PM: Dinner is served.
20.45 PM: Evening activities. Board games like cards or Parcheesi are available, as well as massage service (massage service is available throughout the cruise). Also, everyone can try their luck at squid fishing on the boat with help from the crew.

Trip cancellation due to bad weather in Halong Bay: The cancellation decision is made by Management Board of Halong Bay on the day of the trip in case of bad weather conditions. The Free of Charge (FOC) rate for children under 4 years old is applicable for 1 (one) child sharing a cabin with 2 (two) adults. Only 1 (one) child under 4 years old traveling with 2 (two) adults is allowed for FOC per cabin.
Children from 4-11 will pay extra charge 75% of adult rate.
Children 12 and above must pay full fare as adult.
Peak season surcharge: Applied for Christmas Eve, New Year Eve and Lunar New Year (30 Dec, 1-3 Jan in Lunar Calendar) 30 USD per person per night.

From 15 to 29 days prior to check-in: 30% of total rates
From 7 to 14 days prior to check in: 50% of total rates.

The ship was quite old but things were organized. The program was interesting.
The itinerary was quite rush to us. Would prefer more time relaxing and resting. Anyway, nice view and friendly staff.
