As first time cruisers, this was a great way to experience cruising and test the waters. The room was spacious, clean, with a nice bathroom and a balcony to enjoy, the boats bars and lounges were stunning. The food was delicious and plenty of it. We met some great people and there was always an activity going on if you wanted to join in. The staff were very attentive, especially young Tequila, he was very eager to please. The cruise Manager Peter was exceptional. He was very professional and knew everyone’s name on board and seemed to be in all places at once.
The only criticism was that the the water pressure in the bathroom was low (expected on a boat) and the water was luke warm at all times, however this didn’t detract from the whole experience.
Le Theatre was one of the nicest ships in the bay. Despite the enormity of the logistics of moving thousands of people to and from Hanoi and Ha Long Bay each day, it seems to run like a well oiled machine. Highly recommend.

where do I begin! First class service from the entire crew. Especially manager Tom and Peter. Special mention though goes to Lucky who was our waiter throughout our two nights and three days on board. We were celebrating our honeymoon and the exceptional care and attention (and surprises) from the crew made it everything we could have dreamed of. This boat is really beautiful. It is a packed itinerary with kayaking swimming cycling relaxing and of course eating and we loved every moment! I would say that if you are able to, 2 nights is an absolute MUST. The one night option simply is too short. By the time you are on the boat everything suddenly feels quite rushed and more of a race to get activities done rather than relaxing and enjoying what is simply one of the most gorgeous places on earth on a truly stunning boat. With the second night however the pace is massively better and you can really appreciate what you are seeing and spend time soaking it in. Not to mention the bonus of getting more lovely food and drink on board! Overall we loved our time on board, and again a special thank you to the Lucky, Tom and the rest of this hard working dedicated crew! There are lots of other luxurious boats in Halong bay which I’m sure are equally great (and all the boats have essentially identical itineraries and timetables) but I can’t imagine any of them exceeding Le theatre in terms of design, comfort and attention to detail! Thank you for having us on board!

The landscapes were amazing, the boat very comfortable, we had 2 rooms on the upper floor, the excursions were interesting and the people very kind. Especially Andrew our waiter who was very helpful.
Very good food as well.

Wow. We were very impressed by this cruise. Not just the beauty of the ship and the rooms, but the professionalism knowledge, and friendliness of the staff.
Our room had a great bed, plenty of space, sweet balcony, small refrigerator, and good bathroom. The meals and activities were top notch. Tom was our cruise director and he was very instructive and helpful on the itinerary. Our butler was Andrew….what a kind, helpful and enjoyable person!
I recommend this cruise to anyone who wants to relax and be spoiled.

The staff made the experience. Tom was a great manager and provided us with insights throughout the trip. We loved Andrew – he took the time to know us on a personal level, he was always smiley and was always available to make sure we were happy and had what we wanted, he shared his love for Vietnam and even provided us with tips for the rest of our stay in Vietnam. We have travelled a lot – Andrew and Tom’s service is the best we have experienced!
