Your transfer vehicle will collect you from your hotel in Hanoi and convey you to Hai Phong around

You will be taken on our tender from the wharf and make your way out onto the bay to board our luxurious craft, Sapphire Cruise. You will be welcome aboard and greeted with a complimentary drink. Our Crew will conduct a compulsory safety procedures session and then you are free to check into your cabin and freshen up. Take some time to have a look around the vessel or watch the magical landscapes go by.

A special lunch of fresh seafood and an assortment of appetizing favorites will be served. We set sail for Lan Ha Bay passing to Da Chong islet where you can see a lighthouse built by the French over 100 years ago.

When lunch is about to finish, it is just nice that the Cruise completes its entry through Cua Van area to Lan Ha Bay (as part of Halong Bay). The area is surrounding of a lot of extraordinary limestone karst landscapes. Guests can start their journey to explore the Lan Ha Bay by Kayaking and swimming in the crystal clear waters of the bay.

Next, we board our Day Boat to head to Viet Hai Village. You will take the bicycle trip along the village path and go through rain forests and dark tunnel. Visit an ancient local house, made from straw, mud, bamboo…you will have a chance to see the local life on a valley of local people. Optional electric car service is available (at an extra cost).

The Free of Charge (FOC) rate for children under 4 years old is applicable for 1 (one) child sharing a cabin with 2 (two) adults. Only 1 (one) child under 4 years old traveling with 2 (two) adults is allowed for FOC per cabin.
Children from 4-11 will pay extra charge 75% of adult rate.
Children 12 and above must pay full fare as adult.
Peak season surcharge: Applied for Christmas Eve, New Year Eve and Lunar New Year (30 Dec, 1-3 Jan in Lunar Calendar) 30 USD per person per night.

I would prefered to do more activites like a hike or the visit to a fishing village, we had time enough.
We had an amazing experience when we were on the cruise ship! But when we were picked up on the bus for our drive to the cruise ship, we were very uncomfortable with our guide. The man in charge made multiple jokes about making us eat dog while on the cruise. We understand there are some cultural differences, but we were not expecting to have our honeymoon cruise start with a man showing us dead dog, snake, and other animals on his phone, really committing to making us uncomfortable for the joke, while we are stuck on a bus for hours with no way to remove ourselves. Many people on the bus were confused about if his jokes were for real.
The start made me frantically google Saphire Cruises to make sure I didn’t imagine the glowing reviews. It was shocking and disappointing.
Once the man got us to the cruise ship we were relieved to find that the rest of the guides and staff were absolutely wonderful. Amazing guides, lots of chances to explore and learn. Beautiful views and great accommodations. It’s too bad that the horrible start is what sticks with me.
Our journey from Hanoi to the port to board The Sapphire was enjoyable. Lee was humorous and constantly interacting with the group. He narrated stories behind the names of Hanoi and Ha Long Bay. The cruise on the bay was awesome with the magnificent view of countless towers of islands nestled in quiet water. We’d kayaking and swimming in the emerald water. A very interesting ride on a bamboo boat paddled by a fisherman, passing through a cave with stalactites hangings from the ceiling which leads to a huge tranquil pond chamber. Also enjoyed the starry night on our deluxe room balcony. Some friends managed to capture the panoramic view of the sun rise. We’d a wonderful time.
Wonderful stay on the Sapphire Cruise made really fun by the strangers we met onboard who became friends during the entire cruise experience. Sunny and the crew made us feel welcome and made sure we thoroughly enjoyed the kayaking, meals and lovely company. Lee, our guide who brought us to Halong Bay on the bus from Hanoi was entertaining. All in I would rate the whole tour 8/10 and we would definitely come back again. Well done guys!
