DAY 1: HANOI – HALONG BAY – LAN HA BAY (-/L/D)
07:45 – 08:30 Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter area or in front of Hanoi Opera House.
Leave Hanoi for Hai Phong city on the free-way AH 5B enjoying the peaceful landscape of rice field of the Red River Delta. Enjoy driving on the longest sea passing bridge of Vietnam of which front is Cat Ba Island – Huge mountain scene and green mangroves.
20 minutes on the ferry to Cat Ba Island where you will feel your enjoyment coming by green mangroves running along the mountain feet. After that is the coastal road for amazing views to the bay and the valley shadowed paths through the National Park for more authentic Nature on the route down to the other side of the Park called Gia Luan dock where you can view Halong Bay, the dock for fishing sampans and here we will boat Unicharm Cruise.

Paddle to a stunning lagoon with tunnel grotto (depend on the tide, we may not be able to reach). Here we will dip into the emerald waters. Swimming and Snorkeling to see Corals are our highlights of this day. You can also reach some secluded beaches for a while relaxing lying on sand…

07:30 Tender ship to Cat Ba island, reach Viet Hai dock for a bicycle trip to Viet Hai village. Riding a bike for 30 minutes on the shadowed paths, enjoying the landscape on the way to the village located in a beautiful valley of the National Park of Cat Ba. Visit some local houses to get to know about the local people as well as their daily life of work or visit the island school…
Afterward cycling back to UniCharm Cruise.

07:30 AM – Tender ship to Cat Ba Island, reach Viet Hai dock for a bicycle trip to Viet Hai village. Riding a bike for 1 hour on the shadowed paths, enjoying the landscape on the way to the village located in a beautiful valley of the National Park of Cat Ba. Visit some local house to know about the local people as well as their daily life of work or visit the island school…
Cycle or you can walk to Hang Doi (Bat cave) – the home of the park bats focus here.
Afterward cycling back to the Cruise.

We want to firstly thank quang, for giving us the most incredible experience from the moment he collected us from our hotel to when he dropped us off, he was professional, friendly and went the extra mile to ensure we had a lovely trip. We stayed for 3days 2nights. The activities were fantastic and you wouldn’t of been able to know all the places with out him. We went kayaking around halong bay, climbed a mountain, went bike riding and met some locals on there farm and cooking class! The food on the boat was fantastic the best we have ever eaten and the drinks were lovely too!! All the staff on the boat were attentive and helpful.
We recently did the 3D/2N cruise of Halong Bay. We booked this trip based after a lot of research of other companies and based on the excellent reviews of Unicharm on Tripadvisor.
Spacious cabins, immaculate and well maintained boat, variety and quality of food excellent, great selection of cocktails and a courteous crew. What more could we ask for!
Initially, I had concerns about whether the 3D/2N tour would be too long and would we get bored ? This was far from the case. Unicharm offer a great itinerary, everything ran so smoothly and to time with the help of our tour guide, Quang Quack.
Quang was very professional and offered a lot of good information. At all times, he took great care of all his guests. Unfortunately, my husband slipped on rocks whilst getting back into the kayak and sliced his foot. This meant he wasn’t able to participate in the hike on Day 2 or bike ride around the village on Day 3. After our hike, my husband was able to join us for the lunch on Cat Ba Island and participate in the rest of the afternoon activities. For the village bike ride, Quang arranged a motorbike so my husband could join the tour and ride on the back of the bike with Quang.
On our return to our hotel in Hanoi, I’d left my jacket on the bus. Quang went out of his way to return the jacket to our hotel reception. We couldn’t ask for better service. Thank you Quang and Unicharm 🙂
We just came back from a 2 day cruise on Unicharm through Cat Ba, Lan Ha and Ha long. We spent some time researching different options but in the end chose for Unicharm since it seemed a less crowded tour. We were not disappointed! We had the fortune to be joined by only one other family so basically had the boat, and our amazing guide Dem, almost all to ourselves! We went kayaking through the fishermen villages- without seeing any other people, spent some time on a private beach and saw a magnificent sunset from on the water. After a good night sleep in a very nice room, we went on a bike tour through cat ba next day, again all alone (we went early tho :). Even though our trip to Vietnam has only just started, we feel this was probably one of the highlights. Not in the least thanks to our amazing guide Dem who was always smiling and ready for you and even sent us some pictures afterwards! Would recommend 10/10!
An excellent trip which went as smoothly as one can hope. From the start, our guide, Hieu (Hugh) was very informative and able to clearly tell what was to be expected from the trip and what is included and not in the cruise fee. This was all done with great spirit and good humor throughout.
The pick up was prompt and the rest of the cruise crew (cleaning, food, bar) were also very professional and efficient in ensuring that the stay was as relaxing and as comfortable as possible.
Hieu was also very flexible in the daily activity as ensured that everyone had what they wanted out of the day. He also ensured that all guests were well fed and watered. We also felt like we bonded very well during the trip with our guide and will definitely recommend this cruise and our guide for a complete Ha Long Bay experience.
